Jonathan's place is very enjoyable. The views are spectacular. The apartment is very well equipped, extremely comfortable. The location is amidst the locals, and deep in upper portion of the town paths. Everyone seems to know Jonathan and greet you with the same warmth and friendliness that he must share. It is a short drive to Nice, and in the centre of a group of small towns that are all worthy of a visit. A few are on the France Plus Beaux Villages list, and Berre itself should be listed as one. It has a restaurant or two, and a few things to see. Views from the terrace of the restaurant are equally stunning, and food was good. I loved driving to the location, and you will too if a few switchbacks and fun mountain roads are your thing. Also, if you wish to get away from the typical tourist spots, this place is excellent for that as well. After surviving the throngs of people in Cinque Terre and major Luberon cities, this was a perfect way to end our extended trip before we headed to Nice for our flights back to Canada. Jonathan has everything very well organized, easy check in and check out, and nothing could be better than renting at this location. Thanks for everything.

We stayed in this homely apartment in late August. We found it to be a perfect little home from home.
Although it's only 24km from Nice the last 5km involve 15 hairpin bends up into this medieval hill village. The village of Berre-les-alpes has enough services for the locals and guests to live a simple life without ever leaving.
If you can give up the spectacular views for the day most of the cote d'azure is within an easy drive there is even a supermarket in the valley with a british food section.
During our stay we truly fell in love with this apartment and the pace of life offered.
The owner Jonathan was supportive and accommodating over the phone and email also the local handover was easy.

We were lucky enough to secure a last-minute booking at La Cachette and within minutes of arriving we had relaxed and felt refreshed by the clean mountain air and the peace and quiet - hard to believe it’s only a short drive from the hustle and bustle of Nice!

Another 2 stunning August weeks at this lovely home in its great location are over. This is our third year of renting Lacachette as a family of 5 and we enjoy it because it is so easy. There is loads to do in the region, great beaches, relaxing times and a memorable holiday. The village and the neighbours are charming and it really is idylic.
We can't wait till next year. Let's hope it does not become too popular.

La Cachette was just perfect. We left London on a Friday after work and were in the Nice sunshine within a few hours. The property is set in a quiet village yet is very easy to get to from Nice Airport. It is the perfect place to unwind, or to base yourself to visit the local areas in and around Nice. If you’re looking for a hassle free, relaxing few days away, you’d be pushed to beat this. We’ll definitely be back.

I wanted to get away from a busy few months and found La Cachette. The views are awesome and the village so pretty. I went to Monaco, Ventimiglia, Nice, St Tropez and it is all so easy. The walks from the house into the hills behind are amazing. The house has everything you could want. The bed is comfortable and the linen luxurious. I really did not want to leave. How lucky to have this gem. Thank you.

I have just returned from the beautiful Limone Piemonte where with 2 friends we were skiing. In our expedition I could not miss a visit to La chachette where I was already in the summer with the family. A charming place delighted once again. In winter, it looks just as beautiful as in the summer. From there a short trip and we're in the beautiful ski resort of Limone Piemonte - a lot of snow, beautiful wide slopes and most importantly, beautiful sunny weather and almost cloudless sky. It was a great time with great company of Jonathan and Mark.
